The Palm Oil Industry Is Changing

Are You Ready?

The palm oil industry is under growing pressure to meet global demands for sustainability and transparency. Compliance with standards like MSPO

(Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil), NDPE (No Deforestation, No Peat, No Exploitation), and the EUDR (European Union Deforestation Regulation)

is now essential for staying in business.

As a Mill, Dealer or Farmer, these requirements bring new challenges, but Wild Asia, a not-for-profit registered in Malaysia, is here to help simplify the process, reduce risks, and ensure you are ready for the future. We do this as we want to see the palm oil industry embrace sustainability as the norm.

Wild Asia, a Malaysian-based social enterprise, developed WAGS, or the Wild Asia Group Scheme (WAGS), in 2011 to provide much-needed extension support to independent small farmers. Our goal is to ensure that all small farmers can be supported to be traceable, sustainable and resilient.

Our WAGS APP empowers farmers and extension agents (WAGS field teams, or Cooperatives) by streamlining the collection of comprehensive farm data, including legal, production, and other essential information. We transform this data into actionable insights, enabling farmers to make informed, sustainable decisions.

Our solutions are designed for Mills, Crushers, Dealers and Farmers

Challenges Dealers Face

License Renewal Risk

MSPO certification is now mandatory. Without compliance, you may face difficulty renewing your MPOB license, putting your operations at risk.

Traceability Requirements

You must ensure that FFB are fully traceable, including farm boundaries, and comply with NDPE standards (no new plantings after 2019). This is a fundamental requirement of the new MSPO standard.

Market Exclusion Risks

Suppliers failing to meet NDPE standards may lose access to Palm Oil Mills, directly impacting your revenue.

Administrative Burden

Managing supplier data, meeting monthly reporting requirements, and ensuring compliance is time-consuming and resource-intensive.
